Our Language & Literacy Education programme will produce graduates who are able to critically assess oral language and literacy interventions, pedagogy, and assessment approaches. This programme is tailored to the professional development needs of educators, including teachers, education practitioners, senior leaders, policymakers, and researchers, who seek to enhance their literacy development knowledge and evidence-based assessment and intervention skills.

Education and Teaching
- Reading Specialist / Literacy Tutor Work with primary/elementary and secondary school teachers to provide professional development in best practices for literacy instruction and support struggling readers.
- Community Education Coordinator Create opportunities for learning to people who missed out at school by organising new opportunities for education. You’d support people to take part whatever their circumstances.
- Literacy Education Editor / Content Designer Create educational materials that promote literacy and help students learn to read.
- Resource Teacher / SEN Teacher Specialise in teaching literacy and language skills to students with intellectual or physical challenges.
Policy and Research
- Literacy Curriculum Specialist Develop, select, and implement effective literacy curriculum and instructional materials, and provide training to teachers.
- Policy Advocate (Government Officer) Work with non-profit organisations and advocacy groups to identify and address literacy-related issues.
- Research Pursue PhD-level research in language and literacy education and contribute to advancing the field through your research.
