Research interests

Gained her first degree in psychology at the University of Glasgow, then completed a PhD at the University of Nottingham, and continued post doctoral research at the Universities of Stirling and Glasgow.
Teaching responsibilities:
Course Lead for Level 3 honours Psychology Qualitative Methods course
Course lead for Qualitative mini project Msc Psychology (conversion) ODL
Course lead for Level 3 honours Psychology Professional Skills course.
Lecturer in Qualitative methods Level 1 and Level 2 Psychology.
Professional responsibilities:
Programme director for MSc Psychological Science (conversion)
Athena Swan Self Assessment team (flexible working group)
Pedagogical research includes embedding graduate skills and attributes within the curriculum and use of peer review to generate feedback for students. Discipline specific research interests include use of qualitative methods to investigate health and well-being. For example, the impact of engagement with volunteering and green space on well -being. Currently co-supervising a PhD with Drs Jason Bohan and Catherine Lido on Campus Climate and its' relationship to well-being of LGBT university students and staff. Supervising a Phd with Prof Stephany Biello on a cross cultural study of the impact of test anxiety on health and well-being.
