University of Glasgow students and University of Glasgow graduates (up to 2 years after graduating) can access individual support with any career related queries, either via our Peer Career Support or Career Coaching services.
Peer Career Support
Our trained Peer Career Support (PCS) Team will provide easy access to personalised information and support with anything relating to your career, employability, or next steps following university.
This team can help you
- learn more about Careers, Employability & Opportunity services
- understand and make the most of available resources
- feel more confident about your future.
They can also support you with key employability topics, including
- CVs and applications
- job searching
- researching employers
- and more
Access Peer Career Support via their daily drop-in in the Career Studio on Level 2 of the Fraser Building, as well as pop-up locations around campus.
Daily drop-in Level 2 Fraser Building
The Peer Career Support Team runs a daily drop-in in the Career Studio on Level 2 of the Fraser Building. Drop-in runs Monday - Friday from 9:00 - 17:00 during term-time. No appointment necessary, just turn up.
Regular pop-ups
In semester 1 of the 2024/25 academic year, the PCS Team will be doing regular pop-ups at:
- James McCune Smith Building, Thursdays, 10:00–16:00. Starting from Thursday, 10 October, the Team will be in The Avenue in JMS every Thursday in Semester 1, except Thursday, 7 November.
- 6 University Gardens, Wednesdays, 10:00 - 14:00. Starting Wednesday, 16 October, the Team will be in University Gardens (number 6). This pop-up will run every Wednesday in Semester 1, concluding on Wednesday 4 December.

Career Coaching
Our qualified Career Development Professionals offer individual 45-minute Career Coaching appointments where you can access in-depth professional guidance with your career and professional development planning.

Career Coaching appointments can be booked via Glasgow Careers. You will need to complete a short Career Coaching Pathway to access these appointments.
If you're not sure which support is right for you, speak with our Peer Career Supporters who’ll be able to help you get started and refer you to other staff and support that suit your needs if required.
